Columbine (Aquilegia caerulea)
This flower is native to the Western states. A good choice for rocky slopes or hillsides. Submerge the cut flowers first into warm, salty water and then into plain, lukewarm water before arranging into bouquets.

Planting requirements: full sun to partial shade. Plant in the fall by sowing on top of the soil.
