Purple Prairie Clover (Dalea purpurea)
A native of the North Central US prairie, this flower grows best
from seed. Its long taproot has been used to make a tea to reduce
fever in measles sufferers. There is also a white
variety of this clover. A good choice for native meadow plantings.
